Martavis Bryant, WR1, and Fantasy Football Rankings

What is it going to take for Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant to slide into WR1 territory?

In 2016 he was suspended all season due to a second failed drug screen. Get it together Bryant. That doesn’t help anyone’s fantasy football rankings, to say the least.

In 2014 Bryant plays 11 games, grabbing 32 receptions for 57 targets (a whopping 13% target share in these games), 548 yards and an 8 TDs (WOW!), a TD every 4 receptions will help anyone’s fantasy football rankings.

In 2015 Bryant plays 13 games, grabbing 67 receptions on 113 targets (22% target share in these games), 1,027 yards and 6 TD, giving him a less impressive (9%) TD to receptions ratio. This isn’t a downward trend to be noticed by fantasy football rankings but an insight of playing a collective of 24 career games. However, fantasy football rankings weren’t boosted high when this season is added to his stats.

Martavis Bryant needs to play! Of 54 season games to play, Bryant has only participated in 24, giving him 23 absences due to suspensions. If he can stay on the field for 16 games, not fail another drug test, he can ascend into WR1 territory easily. This would go a long way to boosting your fantasy football rankings too.
